About me

I began my web and graphic design career in the Art world, studying graphic design at Central Saint Martins, specialising in illustration, exploring conceptual ideas, printmaking, bookbinding and digital media. However, I found myself attracted to the culinary world, so much so that after completing my degree I trained as a cook, working in the Alps for several years. When I met my husband, we set up and ran a catering business and restaurants together. Food and art never fail to combine, and with that I found myself translating my artistic skills into creating brands for our businesses.

I have since worked on numerous design and web projects for boutique and small independent businesses from conception, to design, to construction, to launch and beyond and have a good understanding of small business needs and the importance of visual appeal.

I’m based in Devon with my husband and young children, specialising in the design, development, and maintenance of bespoke individual websites and graphics design for independent businesses and creative clients.

In my artwork, I’m inspired by the organisation of organisms, the fluidity, and dynamism of metaphor, the distribution of power in nature and the beauty and place-rootedness visualising tasks and responsibilities in their graphic form. Pictures and words that we use to describe our ecological world, also shape it and what is possible within its organisation as a living ecosystem.
